About this deal

If we decide not to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms, such decision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Bunnahabhain (pronounced "bun-na-ha-ven" and meaning "mouth of the river" in Gaelic) is a whisky distillery located on the remote island of Islay just off the west coast of Scotland.

An intensely warming Islay whisky; with dried fruit, sherry, toffee and spices lead to a rich honeyed nuttiness and the slightest hint of sea salt. Most of Bunnahbhain’s spirits are unpeated, and those that do come with peat are generally really lightly peated. We grant to registered Members a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to access and use the Service and to view its contents (“License”). Bunnahabhain also features older vintage releases, highlighting the exceptional quality of aged whiskies from its warehouses.

The deep mahogany colour of this 18 year old whisky gives away the sherry cask maturation whilst the tang of salt on the tongue reminds you of our coastal location. This complex Single Malt was first distilled at the Bunnahabhain Distillery in 2004 and was charged from a refill sherry butt. In the mouth: This builds flavor very slowly, being almost mute as it passes the lips, but then picking up a full head of steam as it moves toward the middle of the mouth, taking on some of the creamy aspects of the nose. This Bunnahabhain 18 year old Scotch whisky stands tall as one of our most distinguished single malts. Our 18 Year Old is one of our most awarded Single Malts and once you’ve tasted it you’ll understand the wealth of gold medals it has achieved.

The distillery's location on the Sound of Islay contributes to its unique maritime influence, imparting a gentle brininess to its whiskies. The deep colour of the whisky gives away the exclusive sherry cask maturation and the tang of salt on the tongue reminds you of the coastal location. And that’s despite having visited the distillery – an experience that usually makes you bond more with a whisky over others [ed: though maybe it’s also related to the rather ghostly site of abandoned houses near the distillery?
